What SitBites does

SitBites lets you order from food and drink stands at participating venues in Kigali, Rwanda, and follow your order until it’s ready. The stands are run by independent vendors. SitBites passes your order and payment to the stand; the stand prepares and hands over the food.

The stand is responsible for the food

• Each vendor sets its own menu, prices and opening hours, and can mark items as sold out.
• The vendor is responsible for preparing your food safely. If you have an allergy, ask the stand before you order. Photos are a guide and the food may look different.
• Some stands sell alcohol. You must be 18 or older to order it, and the stand may ask for ID when you collect.

Placing an order

• You can order as a guest or with a SitBites account.
• Prices are in Rwandan francs (RWF) and are shown before you confirm. The total you see at checkout is the amount you pay.
• Your order is sent to the stand when you confirm it. Preparation times are estimates and can be longer when the venue is busy.
• A stand may cancel an order it can’t fulfil, for example if an item has run out. If that happens, we’ll show it on your order and in your notifications.

Paying

Payments are handled by payment providers such as mobile money operators and card processors. SitBites doesn’t see or store your card number or mobile money PIN.

Pickup and seat delivery

• For pickup, collect your order from the stand when it shows as ready. Have your order number to hand.
• Seat delivery is only available where the venue offers it. Give your section, row and seat correctly so staff can find you.
• Stands close when the event ends, so please collect your order before then.

Cancellations and refunds

Once an order is placed, you can’t cancel it in the app because the stand may already be preparing it. If something is wrong, speak to the stand you ordered from first. If the stand cancels your order, or can’t provide something you paid for, you’ll be refunded for it to your original payment method.

Your account

• Use your own phone number and keep your password private.
• You’re responsible for orders placed from your account.
• We may suspend accounts used for fake orders, fraud, or abuse of stand staff or other fans.

Availability

We work to keep SitBites running during events, but the service may sometimes be slow or unavailable, for example because of network problems at the venue. Menus, venues and features can change.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, SitBites isn’t responsible for the food itself or for losses that come from things outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Rwandan consumer law.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we’ll tell you in the app or on this site. These terms are governed by the laws of Rwanda.
